So like Lucio Battisti, Fleetwood Mac, Crosby Stills & Nash etc etc. Artists that might be considered “pop” or “rock” but have a few island time heaters stashed in the back catalogue. It really opened my eyes to the fact that balearic music is a vibe moreso than a genre. This mix is a little bit of that, and a lot of the fact that I’ve always wanted to do a soft, dad rock, strummy guitar mix. Got some new, some old, some ambient, some sing-a-long. Even ventures away from the beach aesthetic and more into the untapped balearic landscape of cattle farms and dusty bush roads.
